In the past, Lake Biwa was ruled by the kozoku, or lake people who managed the arrival and export of goods to the Katata area. This private cycling tour guides you through the charming town roads and includes a visit to the Kozoku no Sato Museum (Katata Lake People Museum) where you can learn about the history of the area.
